The Order of the Pelican[]
-arises out of the legend of the selfsacrificing pelican mother that tore open her own breast to feed her starving brood on her life blood.
Like the myth this guild is based on, its members strive to embody similar sentiments. We are not Robin Hood that takes from the rich and gives to the poor but good samaritans that lead by positive and good example. We try to inspire others to rise above pettiness, greed and feelings of revenge. We strive to help others in any manner we can and attempt to settle disputes peacefully. This does not mean we need to sacrifice the shirts of our backs and do everything others want us to do.
‘Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish and you feed him for life’.
Our idols are Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Theresa and even Marcus Aurelius Antoninus who himself said: "The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts, therefore guard accordingly; and take care that you entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue, and reasonable nature. There is a proper dignity and proportion to be observed in the performance of every act of life."
What we offer[]
Fun + help. We have strict rules of behaviour that are enforced but we are a very socially active guild. We attempt to have regular social nights and sponsor dungeon runs and other activities. If there is an item you desperately need, we will get together and hunt it down with or for you.
Currently we own 1 paddock and several mounts and the use of the paddock is available to all members after a one time donation of 200kk for upkeep of the guild (and to help finance difficult to get items for deserving guildies).
Requirements[]
A good, honorable attitude; a kind and helpful nature. Your level isn't important because leveling is not important in this guild. IF all you are interested in is gaining level 100+ as soon and fast as possible, this is definately the wrong guild for you and you should check elsewhere. We accept all alignments but it is vital you read the rules of the guild on our forum before you ask to be invited.
